Development process and prospects of flood prevention informatization in Shanghai City

Based on a retrospective analysis of the development of flood prevention informatization in Shanghai, this paper comprehensively summarizes major achievements of flood prevention informatization in Shanghai in terms of data collection, information aggregation, business flow, and decision-making and command over the past 30 years. Based on the requirements of digital empowerment for flood prevention work in the new era, it is believed that there are still problems with Shanghai's flood prevention informatization, such as "insufficient perception of flood risk, shallow integration of online and offline business lines, and low intelligence level of decision-making and command." It is proposed to further improve the flood risk perception network using various resources, strengthen collaboration between different departments relying on One-network Integrated Management Solution, and enhance the intelligent level of flood dispatching through the application of big data technology.
