Abstract
In order to explore the application of flood risk maps, Daluze and Ningjinbo, the biggest flood storage-detention districs in Haihe River basin, were selected for developing real-time flood risk analysis/forecasting technology and system. Based on the characteristics of these areas, hydrologic model was constructed for the upstream watersheds for real-time flood forecasting with real-time hydrological information or forecast rainfall; one and two dimensional coupled hydrodynamic model was applied for flood risk analysis in these flood storage-detention districts. One-dimensional rivers were generalized on the edge of the two dimensional grids, and this hydrodynamic model could simulate flood process very quickly with less than 30 minutes for a flood within one week. The impacts of infiltration and the regulation of weirs and flood diversion gates were also considered in this hydrodynamic model. Finally, the flood risk real-time analysis system was established based on the coupled hydrologic-hydrodynamic model and the self-developed GIS platform, realizing the real-time flood routing and risk assessment under scenarios with different upstream inflows and scheduling disciplines.
