Abstract: This paper analyzes the whole process of the flood disaster caused by "20240701" extremely heavy rainstorm in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province in 2024, including the specific data and conditions of rain, water, disaster and other aspects and deeply analyzes the causes of flooding in Pingjiang County, as well as the problems in the urban flood control system, prevention and emergency preparedness and emergency plan exposed in the flood disaster, which can provide reference for the future urban flood control and disaster reduction work.
