Abstract:
Global climate change and accelerated urbanization have led to increasingly severe urban flood risks, giving rise to the concept of flood risk management. Systematically reviewing flood risk management practices in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, and China, and comparing models from various countries, it was found that the concept has shifted from "competing with water for land" to "coexisting with water", technology is developing towards intelligence, and management is tending towards diversified collaboration. In the future, China needs to integrate ecosystem services, promote technological innovation, and build a diversified governance network to enhance the level of urban flood risk management and achieve sustainable development.
